Social Media Week DC

February 13-17, 2012, was Social Media Week worldwide with Hamburg, Hong Kong, London, Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Sao Paulo, San Francisco, Miami, New York, and Washington D.C. participating. On Wednesday, February 15, I attended two events as part of Social Media Week D.C. The first was titled “Forces of Change: Social Media, Past, Present, and Future” and held at Sapient Government Service’s Arlington, Virginia, Office.

The Social Media Battle - Google+ or Facebook?

If you don’t know, please let me fill you in. Our ways of communicating in society have been dramatically changing since the dawn of the Internet. Before the Internet there were smoke signals, a piece of string and two tin cans, the telegraph, the telephone, and the fax machine. Now, we have computers, smart phones, wireless televisions, and tablets that all tie into our digital social networks. What does this all mean?
